Welcome to my first official Movement, Arts, Mindfulness and Animals blog post!  I have been mulling over the idea of starting a blog for a while now and as my mission continues to develop, I have come to the realization that a blog was always there in my mind just waiting to be born into existence. 
                Movement, Arts, Mindfulness, and Animals is a philosophy that I have been developing in my own life over many years to bring about a deeper sense of worth, awareness, connection and existence.  It has been building in bits and pieces over the expanse of my lifetime and just a few short years ago, the connections between those pieces began to form and illuminate.  For me, the concepts of movement, arts and creativity, mindfulness and awareness, and a connection to the natural world are more than just supplemental facets of my day to day existence, they are crucial elements to keeping balance and joy and living my life to the fullest.  Although, that doesn’t mean that they have to be complex or mysterious elements; something as simple as sitting down with a cup of tea or snuggling with my cat while watching a movie can be profound moments when I remind myself to bring mindful awareness to them and how they enhance my life.

                Throughout the course of this blog, I want to share some of the many small ways I bring Movement, Arts, Mindfulness, and Animals into my own life and share some of the incredible people, organizations and businesses that I have discovered along the way.  These four concepts are far reaching and expansive; so whether it is sharing a new recipe for a comforting healing meal or interviewing an animal therapy organization; I hope I can bring insightful content about all the ways in which these four concepts can be incorporated into your life.
